Aaron Kelly entered his first season as the lead assistant coach for SUNY New Paltz men's soccer in 2023. 

Kelly began his coaching career with Webutuck High School, winning the Class C Section Championship. He then spent three years with the New York Red Bulls before taking an assistant coaching role with the Ohio Northern University men's soccer program. During his time at Ohio Northern, the program was ranked 9th in the nation. 

After Ohio Northern, he went on to coach at Soccer Plus Academy where his team participated in the NPL and Super Y National Tournament. He has also been an assistant coach for men's soccer programs at Mount Saint Mary College and Vassar College as well as USL2 side Hudson Valley Hammers. 

Kelly has completed his Welsh FA C License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma and the NSCAA Goalkeeper Level 1 Diploma.
