A perennial championship coach with Aliso Niguel HS (Aliso Viejo, Calif.), Alex Figueroa is in his first season as a volunteer assistant with the Cal Poly men’s soccer program.

In 13 seasons with Aliso Niguel HS, Figueroa helped lead the Wolverines to the 2018 and 2021 California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section titles, six Sea View championships (2015-16, 2019, 2021-23) and nine postseason appearances in a 10-year window (2014-16, 2018-23).

Among the Aliso Niguel HS standouts Figueroa has helped graduate to four-year programs include Charlie Wehan (Stanford) Max Gonda (UC San Diego), Steele Arlasky (Tampa), Alfonso Quezada (Concordia), Ryan Nyberg (UC Santa Cruz), Keegan Flynn (California Maritime) and Pacqui Pascual (Sarah Lawrence College).

A native of Laguna Niguel, Calif., Figueroa was a four-year letterwinner at Vanguard University who graduated in 2015 with bachelors degree in business administration.
