In his first year as the head coach for the Statesmen, Jackman led the team to an 8-8 record making the GSC Tournament final. He also had a First-Team All GSC Player and three All-GSC Tournament players.

Jackman returned to Delta State from Yale University where he served as an assistant coach under Kylie Stannard, after joining the staff in the spring of 2022.

Before joining the Yale staff, Jackman served as an assistant at Millsaps College since 2019. Prior to Millsaps, he spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at Delta State, earning a Master of Science in Sport and Human Performance. He assisted in training, recruiting, travel, and game day operations and now holds a U.S. Soccer Federation National B license.

Jackman is a 2016 sports information graduate of Delta State where he was a four-year starter and a vital part of the first team in school history to advance to postseason play and reach the Gulf South Conference championship game. He led the team in goals scored as a senior and is sixth in school history in games started.
