Besmir Zuta joined the men’s soccer coaching staff in the summer of 2019, after graduating with his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from FDU-Florham.

Having been a member of the soccer team under the previous coach, he took to coaching at a high level from an early age, starting at the age of 17 with a local soccer club.

He also attended Morris County School of Technology (Denville, NJ), where he was a member of the soccer team. As captain of the varsity team in his senior year, he led a mostly freshman team to a .500 record.

Besmir is now a coach at the local youth club, Jersey Crew Soccer Club (Montville, NJ), where he is entering his fourth season. Having previously worked with and currently working with players in the 1999, 2000, 2001, 2003 age groups. He is also the Technical Director at the branch of the club, Jersey Crew Motown (Whippany, NJ), with players in the 2004,2005,2006 age groups. Jersey Crew Motown is affiliated with the NPSL men’s team FC MOTOWN- one of the top amateur sides in the USA.

Besmir has also previously worked with Lincoln Park Soccer Club (Lincoln Park, NJ), FC Europa (Freehold, NJ), Bloomfield Soccer Club (Bloomfield, NJ), and other local programs.

Before his arrival at FDU, Besmir was with City College of New York. At City College, Besmir was the Men’s Soccer Assistant Coach for one season, while finishing his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration at FDU. He left the Beavers to join the Devils.

Along with his coaching experience, Besmir occasionally takes part in youth and men’s games locally as a referee. He has been able to referee from the youth level to the academy level locally. With US Futsal, Besmir was named a State Referee and was invited numerous times to officiate at the Regional and National level, taking part in a professional game in Early 2019.

At the youth level, Besmir played for local clubs Lincoln Park Soccer Club and NASA United. Currently, Besmir plays in the North Jersey Soccer League with Vllaznimi FC, also serving as a coach and coordinator with the youth programs.

Besmir is currently a US Soccer D Licensed coach and continues to pursue his coaching licenses.
