Brian McCurdy is a highly regarded figure in Oklahoma soccer, known for his coaching prowess and deep-rooted passion for the game. He began his tenure with Oral Roberts in the summer of 2018 when he joined the men's soccer coaching staff as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. In his six seasons at ORU, McCurdy has played a pivotal role in shaping the program's success, boasting an impressive overall record of 59-25-11 and securing three Summit League regular-season championships.

Before his tenure at Oral Roberts, McCurdy made significant contributions to the NAIA soccer landscape, starting with his role as the head coach of Bacone College for two seasons. During his second season in 2016, McCurdy orchestrated a remarkable turnaround, guiding the Warriors to a 9-6-1 record, marking their first winning season in 12 years.

Prior to his collegiate coaching career, McCurdy honed his coaching acumen at the high school level, serving as the head coach at Union High School and Bixby High School. Under his leadership, both teams experienced substantial success, reaching the state playoffs in five out of six seasons.

McCurdy's journey in soccer traces back to his playing days, where he distinguished himself as a standout athlete. As a three-year letterwinner at Jenks High School, McCurdy showcased his skills, tallying 15 goals and 10 assists for 40 points during his senior year alone. His exceptional performance earned him recognition on the all-state, all-conference, and all-district teams.

Continuing his soccer career at the collegiate level, McCurdy attended the University of Tulsa, where he excelled as a midfielder and became a four-year letterwinner. His contributions were pivotal in helping the Golden Hurricane secure a Conference USA Championship in 2007. McCurdy's collegiate journey also included a memorable run to the NCAA Elite Eight with the 2004 team.

McCurdy has a USSF National D-License. He earned his bachelor’s degree in communication from Tulsa in 2007.
