Brian joined the Florida Southern College Strength & Conditioning Staff in the summer of 2023. Brian brought nearly 10 years of experience training a wide range of athletes. 

Speller traveled to Lakeland after spending the last two years at nearby Saint Leo University as a Graduate Assistant S&C Coach before being elevated to Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. During his time at Saint Leo, Speller oversaw the training for all 22 teams. 

Previously, Speller was an intern at Actv8 in Tampa for two years where he coached youth, collegiate, and professional athletes. From 2014-16 he also served as an intern in the strength and conditioning staff at the University of South Florida, utilized as one of the football SC coaches as well. 

While completing his Bachelor of Science degree at USF, Speller was a Campus Recreation Supervisor before his graduation in 2014. He earned his Master's in Business Administration, with a concentration in sport business at Saint Leo University in 2023.
