Carl Reynolds was named the head coach of the Spring Hill College men's soccer team in January of 2024.

Reynolds joins the Badgers from Southern States Soccer in Hattiesburg, where he was director of soccer for the organization. Under his management, the team won a GCPL Championship and went 10-2 in 2023.

During his time with Southern States, he also served as the head coach of Southern States Stars in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL). As head coach, Reynolds led the club to a 2024 US Open Cup bid, NPSL Elite Eight, Gulf Coast Conference Tournament Championship and Regular Season Championship with an 11-2-1 record in 2023.

In 2022, the club (11-3) became the first in U.S. history to achieve a 3rd-round US Open Cup appearance in its inaugural season under Reynolds. The squad (11-3) was a NPSL Gulf Coast Conference finalist that same year.

The year prior, he led his team to a NPSL Gulf Coast Conference Tournament Championship and a 11-3-1 record. In 2020, he led Southern States SC U19 to a NPSL U19 Championship.

He built Southern States Soccer from the ground up, starting with its youth academy in 2016. He brought enrollment numbers from 13 to 500 in just six years. Since then, the club has become a regional powerhouse on and off the field, including at the professional level. He also paved the way to a massive multi-million dollar soccer facility for the club in southern Mississippi.

Prior to his return to Hattiesburg, he took his first head coaching job at Pearl River Community College (NJCAA) in 2015. While in Poplarville, he led the Wildcats to a Mississippi Junior College State Championship and an undefeated Regional Championship. The season culminated in a 17-2 record, where the only two losses came to Eastern Florida State, who went on to appear in the national championship, and Texas JUCO powerhouse San Jacinto.

Before his time at PRCC, he joined renowned MLS club New York Red Bulls and led its academy. In his time there, he developed some of the best youth soccer talent in the nation.

In 2013, he accepted an international opportunity as an assistant coach with Sporting De Gijon U15 in the Spanish Segunda B league.

Before his international experience, he returned to his alma mater, William Carey University, in 2011 to become an assistant coach. In his time coaching the Crusaders, his staff produced multiple NAIA All-Conference, All-Region and All-American players. In his first year, he helped the team to a NAIA Final Four appearance. The following season, he led the squad to a Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Championship.

His professional playing career was spent with Chattanooga FC, who has had a successful run in the NPSL.

Reynolds' collegiate playing career started in 2007 at William Carey, where he performed to the tune of two All-American honors. He earned his bachelor's degree in exercise science, as well as both of his master's degrees in performance psychology and child & adolescent counseling psychology from WCU.

Prior to arriving to the United States, he earned a national diploma in sport and exercise science from Cirencester College in 2006. He also rose through the academy systems at Chelsea, Reading and Swindon.

He currently holds USSF E, D and C coaching licenses from US Soccer and a UEFA 'A' coaching license.

Reynolds has two daughters, Lena Grace and Brooklyn.
