Carlos Perez Nunez joined the men’s soccer coaching staff in the spring of 2024 after coaching at various levels over the past eight years.

Most recently, Nunez was part of the coaching staff for USL Academy side, Cleveland Force Soccer Club. In that role, he was in charge of overseeing the fitness and conditioning of the players, assisting the head coach with statistical and analytical reports, and helping with overall program development.

A graduate of the University of Houston, Nunez led the Cougars’ Men’s Club Soccer team as its head coach. As the head coach, he oversaw a coaching staff and 44 total players of his own and helped the team to an undefeated season in the Lonestar College System League.

Nunez also served as the head coach for Texas A&M’s Women’s Club Soccer team, served as an academy coach in the AC Milan Academy, was a youth director and developmental coach for Barcelona Soccer Excellence, and served as the head coach for Challenge Soccer Club.

Outside of coaching, Nunez has worked as a personal trainer and fitness coach and was a sales and marketing coordinator for the Houston Texans. He holds his FIFA C coaching license and is fluent in both Spanish and French.
