A NSCAA Regional Diploma recipient, Coach Dirceu Hurtado enter's his 11th season on the Ramapo coaching staff.

Coach Hurtado is a 2003 graduate from Fairleigh Dickinson University where he earned a degree in liberal arts with a minor in criminal justice.  At FDU, he was a member of the Division I Knights soccer program from 2000-2003. In his rookie season, he earned NEC Rookie of the Year for his efforts on the field. During his three-year playing career, Coach Hurtado was honored as a First Team All-NEC and First Team Mid-Atlantic Region member. He was named Comeback Player of the Year by the New Jersey Sports Writers Association and Most Courageous Male Student-Athlete by the National Consortium for Academics and Sports. Coach Hurtado was also a recipient of the ECAC Award of Valor and finished his career ranked 15th in the nation in scoring with 2.05 points per game.

Prior to attending Fairleigh Dickinson, Coach Hurtado was a three-year letter winner at Don Bosco Tech. He set a state record with 73 goals scored in his three-year career while earning All-Conference, All-County and All-State honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.

After college, he spent time playing for the NJ Imperials and the NJ Stallions Semi-Pro teams, while beginning his coaching career at Academy of Holy Angels where he served as the Girls Freshmen Coach from 2009-2010.

Coach Hurtado currently resides in Lyndhurst, NJ.
