Evan Scheffey will begin his first season as the Elizabethtown College Head Men's Soccer Coach in 2024.

Scheffey becomes just the seventh Head Men's Soccer Coach in Etown program history after spending the last nine years as head coach at nearby York College of Pennsylvania.

While at York College, Scheffey put together an overall record of 75-69-22. Throughout his time with the Spartans, his team finished in the top-four of both the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) and the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MACC) in seven of the last eight seasons. He has coached 27 all-conference players. In the 2018 and 2022 seasons, Scheffey's teams had a 10-win campaign while also earning a regional ranking.

Scheffey got his start in coaching at fellow Landmark Conference member, Goucher College as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator from 2011-13. Following his time at Goucher, Scheffey moved down south as the assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Virginia Wesleyan College until March 2015. While at Virginia Wesleyan, Scheffey helped the Marlins to their first conference championship in five years. During the 2013 season, the team's record improved from 8-10-2 in 2012 to a 16-5-1 mark the following season. It was the sixth-best turnaround in NCAA Division III Men's Soccer in 2013. After the 2014 season, the Marlins earned four All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) selections along with one all-SOUTH regional All-American.

Scheffey was no stranger to York College as he was a member of the men's soccer team from 2005-08. During his four years, the team compiled a 78-5-9 overall record as the Spartans appeared in the NCAA Division III Tournament in all four of Scheffey's seasons, including a berth in the NCAA Elite 8 in 2007 & 2008. A three-year captain of the Spartans, Scheffey was a three-time First Team All-CAC player, a two-time CAC champion, a three-time First Team NSCAA All-Region selection and a 2008 NSCAA Third Team All-American.

Scheffey owns an NSCAA National Diploma as he completed that with a Distinguished Pass.
