Garrett Kaelin (Augsburg '20), one of the top goalkeepers in Augsburg men's soccer history, joined the Auggie men's and women's soccer coaching staffs as an assistant coach in the 2023 campaign, guiding the goalkeepers.

A two-year starter for the Auggies, Kaelin finished his career with a 15-11-7 record in 38 games, recording 180 saves (.804 save percentage) with a 1.19 goals against-average in 3,316 minutes played. He had 11 shutouts in his Auggie career, sixth-most in school history. His 15 wins are tied for fifth-best in school history, while his 1.19 GAA is seventh-best.

Kaelin earned United Soccer Coaches All-Region second-team honors and All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Honorable Mention honors in 2018, when he went 7-3-4 with a 0.64 GAA, 80 saves (.889 save percentage) and six shutouts.
