2023 will mark the fifth season that the Otters will be helmed by Head Coach Graeme Jaap. Jaap is coming off leading his squad to their first CCAA Tournament berth since 2007, as the Otters finished with an overall record of 8-8-2 and 6-5, good for fourth in the CCAA in 2022. At the culmination of the season, the Otters had four named to the All-CCAA team, including Collin O'Mahoney, the program's first ever winner of a CCAA postseason major award.

Jaap has amassed a overall coaching record of 24-18-10 since taking the helm in 2019. He has coached 12 All-CCAA honorees and one All-West Region honoree (Walmer Martinez, 2019). The program has also enjoyed academic success under Jaap, with 37 student-athletes being named the CCAA All-Academic team and two being named CoSIDA/CSC Academic All-Americans. 

Jaap most recently served as the assistant at Division I Stetson University under former All–CCAA player Kyle Gookins in 2017. Prior to that, he was an assistant at Division I Florida International.

Jaap began his collegiate coaching career at his alma mater, Brescia University in Ownesboro, Ky. While there as head coach, he led the Bearcats to the 2010 Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference championship.

He left Brescia to join the staff at NCAA Division II power Rollins College. The Tars averaged 18 wins per season in Jaap’s four years on the bench, winning three Sunshine State Conference titles while making four NCAA Tournament appearances.

After beginning his collegiate playing career at the University of Mary (N.D.), Jaap transferred to Bresica, where he earned NAIA All–America honors as a sophomore in 2003. Injuries limited his role over his final two collegiate seasons.

He played club soccer in his native Scotland with the Hamilton Accies and earned two caps with the Scotland U18 National Team.

Jaap graduated from Brescia University in 2006 with a degree in business concentrating in human resources.
