Greg Yao joined the Aurora University men's soccer program as an assistant coach in the fall of 2014 and after a few year hiatus returned to the sidelines in the fall of 2023.

Yao currently serves as the senior program coordinator and U23 program director at Galaxy Soccer Club.

A 2009 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University, Yao served as a captain and was a CCIW All-Conference selection, a two-time IWU Defensive MVP and a Order of the Titans Inductee. A native of Naperville, Illinois, Yao played high school soccer at

Neuqua Valley.
