Keith Danley enters his fourth season with the Cougars for 2022-23 after the first-ever men's soccer season at Chatham in 2019. In addition to his coaching duties, he is now a member of the NCAA Region VII Men's Soccer Regional Advisory Committee until 2025-26.
Danley most recently served the University of Scranton men's soccer program as an assistant coach starting in March of 2016. During his time at Scranton, he helped the team achieve a 25-11-1 record. In 2016, the Royals were Landmark Conference Champions and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament. He coached three United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-Americans, one CoSIDA Academic All-American, five United Soccer Coaches Division III All-Mid-Atlantic Region players, three United Soccer Coaches Division III Scholar All-East players and eight All-Landmark Conference players. Danley served as the recruiting coordinator for the program.
Danley came to Scranton off a two year term as an assistant coach at Elmira College. There, he helped the Soaring Eagles improve from a 1-14-2 season in 2014 to a 7-6-5 campaign in 2015, helping the team reach the semifinals of the Empire 8 Tournament in his last season. At Elmira, Danley coached a NSCAA Division III All-East Regional Player and two ECAC Division III Upstate All-Stars. He also coached five student-athletes to Empire 8 All-Conference honors, including two players to First-Team accolades. In his time at Elmira, Danley also served as the head coach of the JV men's soccer team for a season (2014) and served as both a game day administrator and as a facilities supervisor.
Before heading to Elmira, Danley finished off an athletic career at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania. On the pitch at Allegheny, Danley was a stand-out for three seasons, playing in all 55 games the team played over that span, starting in 52 of those contests on defense. The team's Defensive MVP in 2013, Danley also served as a captain during his senior season of 2013, as Allegheny went 31-19-5 in that span.
Danley transferred to Allegheny from Babson, where he played one season (2010). That year, Babson reached the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division III Tournament and won the NEWMAC conference championship.
A holder of a USSF "D" License, and both a NSCAA National Diploma Goalkeeper Level II Diploma, Danley earned his Bachelor's Degree from Allegheny in 2014 in Mathematics. He received a Masters of Science degree in Education from Elmira in the Spring of 2016. He earned a Masters of Science degree in Accounting from Scranton in August of 2018.
