Luca Mellor will lead Eastern Men's Soccer beginning in the summer of 2023. He takes over leadership after having served as an assistant in the program for two years. In addition to his work with the program, the UK native was pursuing a degree from the Templton Honors College and working as an academic support counselor in Eastern's Athletic Department. 

Originally from the United Kingdom, Mellor played collegiately at nearby Villanova where he was a two-year starter in the back row. Before Villanova, he played one season and started 16 games at the University of Pittsburgh. 

He begin his soccer life in the Manchester United Youth system before moving to Bradford City where he captained the U18 squad and made several appearances with the club's U21 side. after College, he continued to play in USL2 with West Chester United FC.
