A four-year letterwinner that helped transform the Warriors into a contender in the MAC Commonwealth, Luke Klingler '15 is back for his ninth season as an assistant with the team in 2023.

Klingler, who is active in all aspects of the soccer program, has helped the team to a 91-34-18 (.699) record in his time on the sidelines. He has helped develop three All-Americans, 17 all-region selections and 36 all-conference picks. The Warriors have won two MAC Commonwealth titles, advanced to the NCAA Tournament three times and hosted the first and second rounds of the tournament twice as well.

A midfielder, Klingler finished his career with seven goals, 11 assists and 25 career points. He finished second on the team with 13 points and five assists during the team’s 2013 Commonwealth Conference championship season. He also tied for the team lead with three assists and added five points as a sophomore.

Perhaps his biggest impact came during penalty kick shootouts against No. 1-ranked Messiah and Elizabethtown in the 2013 Commonwealth Conference Tournaments, when he drilled penalty kicks in each to help the Warriors clinch their first NCAA Tournament berth in program history.

A native of Bloomsburg, Pa., Klingler graduated from Lycoming College in 2015 with a bachelor of arts degree in business administration. He is the director of the Heart & Vascular Institute at UPMC North Central Pa in Williamsport. .
