Cureton joins the Ferrum staff in the summer of 2021 from fellow Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) member Guilford College, where he served as assistant men's soccer coach for one season, a season that saw the Quakers reach the ODAC Tournament championship game.Prior to Guilford, Cureton was on the staff at Presbyterian College, an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Big South Conference. In his two seasons there, the Blue Hose won their first ever Big South Tournament Championship in 2017 and made it back to the title game the following season. Also, Presbyterian's second-place finish in the regular season in the 2018 season stands as their best in program history.Cureton received a Bachelor of Arts in sports administration from Lees-McRae College in December of 2015, following a solid four-year career for the Bobcats. He made 59 starts in 65 games over four years, recording four goals and 11 assists.Cureton's efforts earned him a spot on the Conference Carolinas All-Conference third team in 2013. He also earned Conference Carolinas All-Tournament honors in 2014 and 2015, and added All-Academic honors and 2014 and 2015.
