Michael Tucker took over as the director of strength and conditioning in 2022 after serving one year in an assistant director role.

Before heading to the Shenandoah Valley, Tucker served as the strength and conditioning graduate assistant at Concordia St. Paul in St. Paul, Minnesota. While at Concordia St. Paul Tucker designed and implemented performance enhancement protocols including weight training, mobility, speed, agility and conditioning programming. He worked primarily with the baseball, softball, women’s soccer, cross country and swimming programs while assisting with writing and implementing football programming.

Prior to that, he had stops at Texas Christian University and Liberty University where he served as a strength and conditioning intern.

Tucker is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. He is also USA Weightlifting USAW-1 and First Aid/CPR & AED certified.

A native of Bealeton, Virginia, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Old Dominion University in 2019 and holds a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia St. Paul.
