Nufi returns to Merrimack as an assistant coach and performance coach for the 2023 season. The Warrior great will be implementing strength and fitness programs, as well as working with the defensive line.  

The Crema, Italy native played under head coach Tony Martone from 2018-2021. During his time with the Warriors, Nufi was awarded Northeast Conference (NEC) Defensive Player of the Year in 2019, as well as United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-American, Scholar All-Region first team and All-Northeast Region first team honors in the same year. Nufi also lead the Warriors to a NEC regular season title after scoring the winning penalty kick against Fairleigh Dickinson that clinched the title in Merrimack's first year in Division I. More recently, Nufi was awarded All-American Strength and Conditioning Athlete of the Year in 2021.  

In addition to coaching the Warriors, Nufi is the Assistant Director of Coaching for MA North Rush Soccer Club. He was also a graduate assistant for the Warriors in 2022.
