Pat Stanco begins his 19th overall season at Albright coaching the women's side for 19 years and the men's side for the previous 12 years. This season Coach Stanco will transition to the men's soccer coach only.

Coach Stanco is coming off a campaign that saw student-athletes awarded for their play on the field. Stanco led first year attacker Martin Ramsay to a MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week honor in Ramsay's first action of collegiate soccer. On the women's side Stanco led standout center back Jada Britton to an All-MAC Honorable Mention honor.

Both 2020 seasons for the men's and women's soccer programs were canceled due to COVID-19.

In 2019, Stanco led the Albright women's soccer program to their first ever MAC Commonwealth playoff win. The team finished with a 13-8-1 overall record and made their fourth-straight ECAC Tournament appearance. Stanco coached two players to earn All-MAC Commonwealth honors, including Autumn Bieber who earned her second-straight first-team recognition.

Stanco began his second stint as head coach for the Albright men's soccer program in 2019. He coached the team to five wins which is the most the team had won in a single season since 2014.

Stanco led the Albright women's soccer program to a pair of program landmarks in the 2018 season. The Lions won a program record 14 games, and advanced to the ECAC Tournament championship game for the first time in program history. Albright also finished third in the MAC Commonwealth to qualify for the conference tournament for a fifth straight year and seventh out of the last eight years. Stanco also coached four players to earn All-MAC Commonwealth honors, including helping Erica Bross earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors for a second-straight season.

In 2017, Stanco earned the most wins in a season since 2005 at Albright with 12 and the Lions advanced to the ECAC Tournament Semifinals in program history. With a 12-9-1 record overall and a 4-3-1 record in conference play, the Lions also qualified for the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the fourth straight year and six out of seven years.

Three Lions players made earned All-MAC Commonwealth honors with two of them earning first-team accolades. Stanco also had his first Albright player earn United Soccer Coaches All-Region honors with junior defender Erica Bross garnering third-team all-region honors.

In 2016, the Lions reached the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the fifth time in six seasons. The Lions finished with an 11-9-1 overall record and a 4-3-1 mark in conference play. Albright fell in the opening round of the MAC Commonwealth Tournament with a 1-0 loss at Lebanon Valley, but the Lions reached the ECAC Tournament for the third time in the last six years. The Lions defeated Neumann, 6-0, before falling to Kean, 2-1.

Stanco coached four players to All-MAC Commonwealth honors. Sophomore Erica Bross led that group with a selection to the First Team.

In 2015, Stanco guided the Lions to an 8-9-2 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the MAC Commonwealth which earned Albright a berth in the MAC Commonwealth Tournament.

The 2014 season saw Stanco lead Albright back to the postseason following a one-year absence. The Lions finished the season with a 7-11-1 overall mark and a 3-5 record in conference play.

The 2012 Lions qualified for both the Commonwealth and ECAC South championships, for the second consecutive year each.

In 2011, Albright went 9-5-5, with three of those losses coming against nationally-ranked teams (including two to eventual national champion Messiah). The Lions qualified for the Commonwealth Conference tournament and then beat Swarthmore in the ECAC South playoffs on the way to a semifinal appearance.

In 2009, Stanco guided his squad to the Commonwealth Conference tournament for the second time in five years. On the road to the postseason, Stanco led the Lady Lions to victories over conference rivals Lebanon Valley College and Elizabethtown College. During the 2008 campaign Stanco led Albright to a 7-10 record overall, and a five-game win streak in the middle of the season.

Throughout his tenure, Stanco has recorded four winning seasons (most of any head coach in program history) and led Albright to its first Commonwealth Conference Tournament appearance in 2005. Overall he has coached 28 all-conference honorees, and remains the program's winningest coach with his 130 victories.

Stanco's first stint as the head men's soccer coach at Albright was from the 2005 to 2012 as he compiled a 59-78-9 overall record in those eight seasons. He helped lead the Lions men's soccer team to its most recent MAC Commonwealth Tournament appearance in 2007.

Stanco is a native of Union, N.J., and was a four-year starter for Union High School. He earned multiple honors as a prep star, capped-off by being named Group 4 All-State as a senior. Stanco then went on to East Stroudsburg University, where he became a key member of the Warriors' highly successful club.

In 1998 he earned Second-Team All-PSAC honors, setting the stage for a phenomenal senior year in 1999. Stanco led the Warriors to an 18-3 record, a PSAC Championship, and a berth in the NCAA Tournament.

He was named the PSAC Player of the Year and a third team All-American after scoring 20 goals, including a streak of 11 consecutive games with at least one goal scored to set a new school record. Stanco finishied his career with 41 goals.

While also coaching at Albright, Stanco played seven seasons for the semi-professional club Reading Rage before retiring in 2008.

Stanco is married to wife Beth; they have three children.
