Rachel Stapleford came back to her alma mater as an Athletic Trainer after graduating from Longwood with a Bachelor of Science in athletic training.

During her time as a student, Stapleford worked with various programs including women’s soccer, baseball, men’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis and Hampden-Sydney football. She also oversaw the women’s lacrosse and women’s volleyball programs at VCU during her final semester as an undergraduate student.

Stapleford is CPR certified by the American Heart Association and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association (NATA) and Virginia Athletic Trainers’ Association (VATA). Before her employment at Longwood, she also served at the Mutual Assurance Society of Virginia. She also has athletic training experience with the Richmond Marathon and Lancer Wrestling Invitational at Manchester High School in Midlothian, Va.
