Richard Ainscough joined the Rangers as the Assistant Men's Soccer Coach & Recruiting Coordinator in March of 2024, coming to Denver after two seasons as an assistant coach at his alma mater Eckerd College.

Eckerd College, a Division II institution in the Sunshine State Conference, posted 5-6-4 records in 2022 and 2023 and earned a 2-0 victory over No. 8 ranked Rollins during the 2022 campaign.

His previous coaching stop before returning home to Eckard College was a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at perennial power Rollins College from 2020-2021.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Ainscough was a standout student-athlete as he played one season at the Division I level before playing his final three seasons at Eckard College. He appeared in 44 games, making 36 starts for the Tritons. He scored 12 goals and tallied nine assists while serving as a team captain twice.  Ainscough's performance earned him Second Team All-SSC and Second Team All-Region in 2015.

His collegiate success earned Aiscough an opportunity to play professionally as he suited up in four different countries across five years (2015-2020) in Europe before returning to the United States to continue his education.

Ainscough graduated from Eckerd with a bachelor's degree in Business Management and a minor in Psychology. He'd go on to earn his master's degree in Human Resource Management from Rollins College.
