Ryan Dixon has built a strong foundation with the Goldey-Beacom men's soccer program and looks to make the 2023 season yet another solid campaign in his 11th season as head coach.

The Lightning's 2017 season saw them win the College's second Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference title and clinch the squad's first trip to the NCAA Tournament.  The team went 17-5-1 overall and 9-2-1 mark in the CACC to set school record on both levels in wins, recorded a school-record 10-game unbeaten streak (9-0-1) and a team-best four-game shutout streak.

GBC in the first round defeated 10th-ranked Merrimack for the College's first head-to-head NCAA Tournament win by a men's team.  Goldey-Beacom also had four first team All-CACC picks, two all-region selections and three CoSIDA Academic All-Americas.

The 2016 season featured a return trip to the CACC Tournament for the Lightning and a number six seed.  It also marked the second straight year GBC beat the eventual conference champion, rallying for a 3-2 win over Georgian Court as part of the former’s six-game unbeaten streak (5-0-1).

The Lightning in 2015 notched ended the regular season with two huge shutouts wins at home that enabled the squad to reach the CACC Tournament for the first time since 2009.  GBC battled for a 1-0 victory over eventual league-champion Bloomfield and then recorded a 3-0 triumph over Holy Family.

The squad in 2014 battled right until the end of the season to close 9-9 for their first non-losing season since 2003 and went 6-6 in the conference, just missing a league tournament spot on a tiebreaker.  GBC scored 38 goals on the year and recorded five shutouts, including goose eggs in each of its last two matches.

Dixon has plenty of soccer experience on his resume, including his time as head coach for the Delaware ODP Program from 2011-13.  He also was head coach at Delaware Tech Community College from 2008-10, leaving as the program’s winningest coach.  Dixon was head coach for the CDSA Club in Dover from 2010-14, soccer and track & field coach at Smyrna High School from 2006-10, assistant coach and freshman coach for girls’ soccer at Pitman High School in 2005 and the goalkeeper coach at Wesley College in 2004.

He played his college ball at Rowan from 2000-03, helping the 2000 squad reach the NCAA final.  The Profs went to the NCAA Tournament all four seasons, won the New Jersey Athletic Conference twice and were the number one ranked team in the country three times.

Dixon has his USSF National “D” License as well as a regional and national goalkeeper diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

Dixon graduated Rowan with a B.A. in Health and Exercise Science with Teacher Certification.  He received his M.S. in Health and Physical Education & Recreation from Emporia State University.
