Saint Michael's men's soccer alumnus Ryan Horan '11 heads into his fifth season as an assistant coach with his alma mater in 2023.

Horan was previously an assistant coach at Division I University of Vermont between 2011 and 2014, helping the Catamounts make America East Tournament appearances each year while winning the 2012 AE regular-season title. Vermont was 34-26-12 overall and 14-9-5 in league play during his tenure. Horan has also coached youths with the Nordic Soccer Club.

Horan is currently a youth development specialist at Vermont Sports Academy in Waterbury, having created an after-school program for local children at Crossett Brook Middle School in Duxbury, and was a snowboard instructor at Stowe Mountain Resort during the winter of 2017-18.

A native of Wheeling, W.Va., Horan totaled 13 points in 47 games during his undergraduate career. He graduated from Saint Michael's in 2011 with a business administration degree before earning an associate's degree through Vermont State University Randolph's automotive technology program in 2017.
