Sean Elvert, Director of Goalkeeping and College Advisor at Arsenal Colorado since March 2020, joined the Colorado College men's soccer program as a full-time assistant coach on May 1, 2022 and enters his second season with the program in the fall of 2023.

In addition to his work with the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) franchise, Elvert added significant experience as both a player and coach at the NCAA Division III level.

During the last two years at Arsenal Colorado, Elvert helped guide 16 players who competed at the collegiate level, including six in Division I, five in Division II and five in Division III. He also trained the club’s first goalkeeper who advanced to the MLS Next platform.

Prior to his arrival in Fort Collins, Elvert served as head coach at Bluffton University from July 2018 through March 2020. During the 2019 season, he led a young Beaver side to the best start in program history as well as a top-50 national statistical ranking with 127 points. 

Elvert began his coaching career at Bluffton in August 2015 with a two-year stint as an assistant, which included four months as interim head coach. He also served as an assistant coach at Ohio Northern University for one season.

As a collegiate goalkeeper, Elvert was a member of the Loras College teams that posted a 66-9-10 record and four made consecutive appearances in the NCAA Division III Men’s Soccer Championship, including back-to-back appearances in the Final Four in 2012-13 and a trip to the Sweet 16 in 2014.

He also trained at the Chicago Fire Development Academy and competed in a wide range of events including the National League, Dallas Cup, and Nomads.

Elvert earned his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Loras in 2015 and his MBA from Bluffton in 2017.

He holds a National Diploma, D License and Goalkeeper 1 & 2 Diplomas from the United Soccer Coaches.
