Tim Stanton was named assistant men's soccer coach in August 2023. 

Stanton joins Colgate after seven years as an assistant coach at Colby College, a member of the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) competing at the NCAA Division III level. 

During his tenure with the Mules, Stanton collected a NESCAC championship and an NCAA tournament berth in 2018. Key wins during the 2018 season included victories against eventual NCAA champions, Tufts University, and Elite 8 participant, Amherst College. Stanton also recruited five All-NESCAC players during his time at Colby College, including 2021 NESCAC Rookie of the Year, Ethan Franco.

In 2017, Stanton spent time at the helm of the Seacoast United U18 Blue squad in Topsham, Maine, and coached with the Yarmouth High School boy’s soccer team in 2015. 

Prior to his coaching career, Stanton was a member of the Mules men’s soccer team. He scored five career goals across his four seasons and was elected a co-captain during the 2015 season.

Stanton graduated from Colby College in 2016 with a bachelor's degree in government.
