Valencia enters his second season as an assistant coach with the men's soccer team in 2023. He returned to his alma mater where he started 35 games over his four seasons (excluding COVID-19 shortened Spring of 2021). During his time, the defender recorded over 3,100 minutes of field time, while scoring the first collegiate goal of his career during the 2022 season in Elmira's 4-2 win over Keuka. Additionally, Valencia played all 90 minutes on six occasions during the 2022 season.

"I'm very excited to return to Elmira College as an assistant coach with the Men's Soccer team", said Valencia. "Elmira, along with the community, has always been a home away from home and I'm looking forward to joining the coaching staff here, as well as continuing my education. I'm thankful for Elmira College for giving me this opportunity and can't wait for the challenge!"

Valencia graduated from Elmira College earlier this year, earning his undergraduate degree in Adolescent Education and Mathematics. The 2022 graduate is a Huntington Station, New York native.
