Zach Smith is in his fourth season as an assistant athletic trainer with the North Carolina Wesleyan sports medicine staff after being hired in August of 2019. 

Smith worked primarily with the field hockey, men’s basketball & men’s tennis teams at DIII Western New England University (Mass.) before coming to Rocky Mount. 

Smith is a 2017 graduate of Westfield State University (Mass.), where he earned his bachelor of science degree in athletic training.

While at Westfield State, Smith completed clinical rotations with the Amherst College men’s lacrosse and football teams, the Westfield State men’s soccer team, and with various local high schools. 

Zach will primarily work with the men's soccer, cross country, tennis and baseball teams at Wesleyan.
