Adam Christensen enters his first season at the helm of the WVWC Women's Soccer program. Christensen was named the Head Coach in April of 2023.

Christensen spent last season as a consultant with the men's program at Francis Marion University (D2). In his lone season with the Patriots, he helped lead them to a (7-4-3) overall record while finishing 2nd in the Conference Carolinas. Prior to FMU, he was the lead assistant at Barton College (D2) with the men's team. In those two seasons, Christensen assisted the Bulldogs to a (17-9) overall record, coached 10 All-Conference players and a 2nd place finish in the Conference Carolinas.

"I am honored and humbled to have been selected to lead the women's program here at Wesleyan. As I progressed through the selection process, I gained a deep appreciation for the unique qualities of Buckhannon and the Wesleyan community. It quickly became evident to me that being a part of this community would be a tremendous privilege and an opportunity to contribute to something truly special. I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the search committee, Interim Athletic Director Jackie Hinton and President Dr. James Moore, for entrusting me with this responsibility" said Christensen.

Adam has spent time as a head coach and assistant coach at the club and high school level as well. He was the head coach for the Univ. of Florida Women's Soccer Club (U25) and an assistant with the Univ. of Florida Men's Soccer Club (U25). During his three years at Florida, he was (23-6-3) overall with three tournament championships and multiple regional appearances.

At the high school level, Christensen was the WSOC head coach at Freedom High School (Fla.) for two seasons (16-10-4), head MSOC coach at The Rock School (Fla.) for one season and the head MSOC coach at Oak Hall High School (Fla.) for two seasons. While at The Rock School in 2019, Christensen led the Lions to a (15-0) overall record and outscored their opponents 87-16 on their way to a FCAPPS State Championship.

Christensen played collegiately at Trevecca Nazarene University and Hampden-Sydney College. He graduated from HSC with a bachelor's in Biology and minor in Chemistry. He is currently earning his master's in Sports Administration at Arkansas State.
