A highly-respected performance analyst who has worked under such renowned coaches as G Guerrieri (Texas A&M), Mark Krikorian (Florida State) and Becky Burleigh (Florida), Ahmad Brown joined the USC women's soccer staff as an assistant coach on May 22, 2023, after spending the previous season at Texas A&M.

"After a thorough search process, Ahmad stood out as the best possible hire for our program – now and for the future," USC head coach Jane Alukonis said of Brown. "His approach to analytics in team tactics, and use of video and data in player development is the most advanced I've ever seen. Ahmad will help us be the best team we can be and will assist each player in maximizing her potential. His professional background includes time in the intelligence sector of the Army followed by years of learning from top coaches in the game. Additionally, he is a National Champion and will bring out championship behaviors every day."

While at Texas A&M, Brown helped the Aggies to a 9-7-5 record and an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. While on staff at Florida State the season prior, the Seminoles won both the 2021 NCAA National Title and claimed the ACC championship.

Brown spent three seasons as performance analyst with the Florida Gators (2018-20), helping the program to an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2019. He served a concurrent role as an assistant coach with United Soccer Alliance, a WPSL team based out of Fleming Island, Florida, from 2019-22. He also worked as technical director with Gainesville Soccer Alliance from 2016-20.

Brown arrives with a wealth of experience as a head coach on the high school level as well. Most recently, he served as head coach for the girls varsity squad at Buchholz High School in Gainesville, Florida, from 2016-19, winning FHSAA 5A district titles on three occasions. He was head coach of the Gainesville High School girls varsity team in 2015-16. Brown was head coach of both the boys and girls varsity teams at Saint Thomas More High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, finishing as WIAA Class 4A runner-up on the boys side in 2014 and WIAA Class 4A regional champions on the girls side in 2015.

What they're saying…

"Ahmad Brown is a special young man.  First, he is an intelligent, classy, and caring person who did a wonderful job with the individual development of our Aggie players and their overall understanding of the game, their roles, and how to be better teammates.  He gave our ladies extra confidence in their abilities, which made us a better team every day in training and on match days." – G Guerrieri

"Ahmad Brown is an outstanding coach and a better person. He played a vital role in our 2021 National Championship and will be a great addition at USC. He will help continue the tradition of excellence with USC Women's Soccer." – Mark Krikorian

"Ahmad has worked hard to learn from so many successful coaches and it's clear he prioritizes growth.  He's a great human who helps connect people and I can't wait to see his career unfold at USC!" – Becky Burleigh
