Ashley St. Aubin was announced to the coaching staff for the NDSU women's soccer program as an assistant coach on April 10, 2024.

St. Aubin comes to the Bison from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, where she spent the last two seasons and helped guide the Eagles to back-to-back WIAC regular season and tournament championships as well as trips to the NCAA third round and quarterfinals.

In her two seasons at UWL, St. Aubin was instrumental in the development with the program, as the Eagles combined to go 41-3-3 for the best two seasons in the program’s history. UWL went 21-2-1 in 2022 and 20-1-2 last season, an improvement from 12 and 16-win campaigns in the previous two seasons.

St. Aubin helped earn UWL United Soccer Coaches Region Staff of the Year back-to-back seasons. She helped develop a pair of All-Americans each of the last two seasons, with two different Eagles receiving first team selections. The Eagles also had a school record five all-region selections both years and a school record nine All-WIAC honorees this fall. Her development and guidance also saw three different Eagles earn Scholar All-America honors the last two seasons, including the National Scholar Player of the Year this season.

Prior to her time in La Crosse, St. Aubin spent two seasons at Frostburg State in Maryland, where she also helped the Bobcats climb to their best two seasons in the NCAA Division II era at the time and was recognized by the United Soccer Coaches as a Top 30 Under 30 up and coming coach. St. Aubin helped improve the Bobcats from a 6-11-1 record in 2019 prior to her arrival, to a 6-1-2 mark in the shortened 2020 season, before FSU went 12-6-2 in 2021. The Bobcats made their first two postseason appearances in the Div. II era in those two seasons.

A Twin Cities area native from Burnsville, St. Aubin was a four-year starter and a United Soccer Coaches three-time All-America selection (2017-19) at Augsburg University, where she ended her career with 71 goals, 29 assists, and 173 points. St. Aubin was named the 2017 Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year and is the MIAC’s all-time leader in goals, while being tied for the all-time lead in points.

St. Aubin has family ties to North Dakota State, as her grandfather, Tom St. Aubin, was a three-year varsity letterwinner and starting offensive guard for the Bison football team, helping the program to back-to-back NCAA National Championships in 1968 and 1969.

St. Aubin graduated Cum Laude from Augsburg University in May 2020 with her bachelor's degree in mathematics, while minoring in business administration and economics. She earned her master's degree in park, recreation and sport management from Frostburg State in May 2022.
