Ashton Gordon joined the Pitt Women’s Soccer coaching staff January of 2024. This came after Gordon's instrumental contributions as a student-athlete – playing a crucial role in the growth of the program and the most successful season in program history.

"It has been incredible to see this program evolve over my course of playing here," said Ashton Gordon. "I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to stay at Pitt and impact the program I love from a different role."

A Tulsa, Oklahoma native, Gordon serves as the second full-time assistant coach for the Panthers.

Gordon was a key asset to the team during her time at Pitt, helping the Panthers reach the National Quarterfinal and ACC Semifinal fields for the first time in program history in 2023. She started in 63 out of the 64 games played as a Panther, totaling 5,362 minutes. Her strong efforts during the 2023 season helped the Panthers achieve their most successful season yet. Pitt set program records for most wins overall (17), ACC wins (6), home wins (9), points (194), goals (64) and assists (66). The Panthers posted five top 25 wins, including defeating three teams ranked in the top ten. During this historic season, Gordon found herself on the Top Drawer Soccer Women's National Top 100 Midseason list, coming in at No. 41. Along with her athletic success, she was also named to the All-ACC Academic Team (2022) and ACC Academic Honor Roll (2022-23).

Prior to Pitt, Gordon spent her first two collegiate seasons at Arkansas where she made 17 starts out of 28 matches played. As a sophomore, Gordon produced the game-winning goal assist against Texas A&M. In her freshman campaign, she produced four assists and posted 13 shots with three on target.

In her high school years, Gordon was able to graduate a year early after being ranked in the IMG Top 150 as the No. 55 player in the nation, the No. 9 player among defenders and the top-ranked player in the South region for the 2020 recruiting class, according to Top Drawer Soccer. She was named the 2018-19 Gatorade Soccer Player of the Year in Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Jim Thorpe High School Player of the Year and was a Tulsa World High School Player of the Year nominee. Gordon was selected as the Booker T. Washington Team MVP in 2017 and Defensive MVP in 2017 and 2018. She earned all-district honors (2017, 2018), was named Tulsa Area All-Vype (2017, 2018), Tulsa All-World (2017, 2018) and was named to 2017-18 ECNL All-Texas Conference team for the U17 age group.

Gordon is the daughter of David and Tara Gordon and has one brother, Ethan. Both of her parents were college athletes who played soccer at Tulsa, with her father, Davide, playing under Coach Randy Waldrum.
