Averi Cash is the assistant women’s soccer coach at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota, a position she has held since the start of the 2023-24 academic school year.

Prior to her arrival at Saint Mary’s, Cash spent four years serving two competitive soccer clubs in Florida. First, she spent two seasons at Cape Coral Soccer Association as an assistant for a U-14 boys’ team and a U-16 girls’ team — working primarily with goalkeepers and defensive tactics — before moving on to spend two seasons at Next Generation Soccer Academy in Sarasota, Fla. Cash served as head coach for the U-15 boys’ team during the 2021-22 season, winning the Bradenton Cup Tournament in a PK shootout. She also served as the developer and coach of the goalkeeper program during the 2022-2023 season, working with goalkeepers ages 8-18.

Before moving to Florida, Cash coached for one season at her alma mater, Bethany Lutheran College in 2018, working primarily with goalkeepers. She joined the coaching staff after a standout career as a goalkeeper for the Vikings. As a four-year starter, Cash led the Vikings to three consecutive playoff appearances and was in goal for BLC’s first-ever playoff victory in 2016. Cash served as a team captain during the 2017 season and received the UMAC Sportsmanship Award as well. In 2016, she received Honorable-Mention All-UMAC honors and ranks in the top five of almost every goalkeeping category in the Bethany record books.

Cash has a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a coaching minor and is currently working on continuing her coaching education and licensure.
