Becks Young is entering her first season as the head coach of the Storm women's soccer program in 2023.

Becks joins Lake Erie College after successful spells at Gannon University and Mercyhurst University where she served as an Assistant First Team coach as well as the Head Coach for their Developmental Teams. She also established the first ever Women's Senior Pro-Am team in Erie, PA the Erie Commodores where she currently serves as Head Coach in the summer. In their inaugural season, the Erie Commodores boasted a record of 5-2-3 going unbeaten through 7 games. Young coached UWS Eastern Conference Second Team Honoree Brooklyn Respecki.

During her time at Gannon University she helped coach the team to a 12-4-3 record with appearances in the PSAC Conference Semi-Final and NCAA Tournament First Round. There she was part of the 2021 PSAC-West coaching staff of the year and coached PSAC All-Conference players Taylor Lewis, Laurel Prokopchak, Kennedy Solymosi, Kayla Bevacqua and Leah Bermudez, as well as PSAC Champion Scholar, Emilie Hilliard. Taylor Lewis also received All-Region honors. 

In 2 different spells at Mercyhurst University as an assistant, Young helped coach the team to PSAC Conference Semi-Final and Quarter-Final appearances in 2019 and 2022. With multiple All-Conference and All-Regional selections, including Alyssa Otto who was named PSAC Freshman of the Year in 2019, along with 9 All-Conference honorees across 2019 and 2022. 

Young also served as an Assistant Coach at Adrian College during the 2020/21 year. There she helped coach the team to the MIAA Conference Quarter-Final, with Angela Davis, Makenna Mascaro and Kristen Page being named as All-MIAA honorees. 

Young, a native of Northern Ireland, started her college playing career at the University of West Alabama in 2013 before transferring to Mercyhurst University where she earned her Bachelors in Early Childhood and Special Education (2018) and a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership (2020). Young also represented her National Team on several occasions, earning multiple youth caps between 2010-2013 and a senior national team call up to the Cyprus Cup in March 2013. She currently holds her USSF Grassroots & D license and is pursuing her USSF C license in 2023. She also holds a Performance Analysis Level 1 license and her United Soccer Coaches Goalkeeping Level 1 Cert.
