Ben Campbell was named the Head Disc Golf Coach and Director of Campus Recreation in May 2023.

Campbell leads the two-year-old disc golf program, oversees the development of additional club sports, and provide oversight to intramurals, wellness, and fitness initiatives.

Campbell is no stranger to Houghton athletics, as he has served as an assistant goalkeeping coach with the women's soccer program and has been an advisor/assistant for the disc golf program since its launch.

Campbell's passion for disc golf began in 2019 as a recreational player and he quickly got involved in the University's efforts to launch the sport. He has helped to update and maintain Houghton's two 18-hole courses, was a staff advisor for the club, and then transitioned to an assistant coach position in 2021, providing player development and administrative support under former head coach Guthrie Collins. In addition, Campbell became a certified official through the Professional Disc Golf Association in 2023.

Campbell, who holds a bachelor's degree in sports and recreational ministry from Clarks Summit University, has also served as volunteer assistant for Letchworth/Warsaw United Soccer and modified coach for Genesee Valley Central School boys' soccer
