Callie Hammer was named the Assistant Coach for the women's soccer team prior to the beginning of the 2022 season. Hammer joins Head Coach Molly Wilkie's coaching staff after playing under Wilkie for four seasons, one of which was a COVID season, as the Beaver's starting goalkeeper. After joining the team in 2018, Hammer was quickly elevated to starting goalkeeper. She put together a strong career in net posting 320 career saves. Hammer was also a two-year captain for the Beavers. In the fall of 2020 Hammer was named as the Treasurer of the North Atlantic Conference's Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Hammer currently works as a functional life skills teacher at Norridgewock Elementary School. Wilkie is very happy to have Hammer join her staff. "As a player, Callie was always a high quality leader, a great teammate, and always strived to improve. I know these qualities will transfer effortlessly as a coach. She is also a very inclusive, passionate and great mentor for our team", Wilkie states. Hammer also was a member of the softball team at UMF.
