Education:

Hamilton earned his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Lynchburg in 2018. He went on to earn a graduate degree in strength & conditioning from Springfield College in 2023.

Job Responsibilities: 

Hamilton currently oversees and programs all phases of strength and conditioning for the women's soccer, men's tennis and women's tennis teams at Illinois.

Past Experience:

Prior to joining Illinois, Hamilton served as a strength & conditioning graduate assistant for Springfield College. There he was responsible for the design and implementation of training programs for the track & field throwers, women’s gymnastics, women’s lacrosse, and women’s soccer teams. Additionally during that time, Hamilton was a strength & conditioning intern with Olympic sports at UConn. During his time at Springfield College, Hamilton also spent time serving as an assistant strength & performance coach for Jenison High School in Jenison, Michigan, working with middle school to high school aged athletes.

Before heading to Springfield College, Hamilton spent time at the Virginia Episcopal School, where he taught and coached cross country and boy’s lacrosse.

Personal:

Originally from Somers, Conn., Hamilton currently resides in Champaign, Ill. He was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team at Lynchburg. He holds certifications from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Precision Nutrition, and first aid, CPR, and AED.
