Colin Spreag recently completed the fourth year of his second stint as a member of the Chargers’ coaching staff in 2019. He previously served as a volunteer assistant coach during the 2010 season. He brings over 10 years of coaching experience spread across all levels of the game, and has coached in the United States, Europe and Asia and has attained qualifications on three continents. 

Along with his duties at New Haven, Spreag is the Director of coaching for the CT Rush Soccer Club, where his responsibilities include team and clinic coaching, staff management, club administration and development, practice and competition scheduling, marketing content and social media management. In the 2016 season, Spreag was the Assistant First Team Coach for the Southern California Sports Club. 

For five years (2012-17), Spreag spent time as the Pateadores’ head coach, where the team was a USSDA club and was crowned the U17/U18 USSDA National Champions in 2011. 

Spreag has many qualifications, including his USSF B License, NSCAA Premier diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching diploma, NSCAA Futsal Level 1 Diploma, UEFA B License (pending assessment) AFC C License (Asia) and FA Level 1 & 2.
