Daniel Torres is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the Tiger soccer team.
Prior to coming to ECU, Torres worked as a manager and practice player for the University of Texas at El Paso women’s soccer team for two seasons. There, he assisted with both practice and game day setup, kept track of stats during practice and games, played in sessions involving technical skills to challenge players, and other duties as assigned.
Torres also worked as an assistant coach for club soccer organization West Texas Rush Soccer Club from 2019-23 where he helped young athletes play at the next level while enhancing their technical and tactical understanding of the game.
Torres has three years of NCAA Division III soccer experience from Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas. In his three seasons as a Lobo, Torres started in 26 games and appeared in 39 as a midfielder. His accolades include receiving All-Conference Honorable Mention honors in the American Southwest Conference for his performance during his junior season at Sul Ross State and reaching the Final 4 UPSL Nationals in 2023 with Rush ACM3.
The El Paso, Texas, native, holds a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies from UTEP and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration at ECU.
