Brittany James, DAT, LAT, ATC, joined the North Central College athletic training staff as an assistant athletic trainer prior to the 2015-16 school year, after previously serving as a graduate assistant since 2013-14. She was named the College's head athletic trainer in fall 2016. Her title was transitioned to Assistant Athletic Director for Health Care/Director of Sports Medicine. 

James graduated from North Central in the spring of 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and served as an athletic trainer at York High School in Elmhurst, Ill. in the three years following prior to her return to North Central. 

James graduated with a master’s degree in leadership studies, with a concentration in higher education, from North Central in the spring of 2015. She earned her doctorate of athletic training degree from Indiana State University in the spring of 2021.
