Dr. Mike Teague joined the administration at Biola in August 2022, launching the new role of Director of Athletics Development.

He joined the Eagles’ athletic leadership team after serving as a leader in athletics at Vanguard University for the better part of the previous decade. His most recent role was as the associate athletic director with responsibilities in student success, academic advising, fundraising, compliance and sport supervision.

"Mike brings with him a wealth of experience in college athletics and Christian higher education," said Dr. Bethany Miller, senior director of athletics. "He knows and loves Biola Athletics as an alum of our men's soccer program, and we are excited to welcome him to our administrative staff!”

Teague played men's soccer under former head coach Bryan Kuderman during the 2009 and 2010 seasons. He helped the Eagles win 21 games over those two seasons and was a part of a squad that advanced all the way to the NAIA national quarterfinals in 2009.

Prior to his role in the Lions’ athletic department, Teague worked as an admissions counselor at VU and the lead sales manager at Hyatt Huntington Beach.

In 2024, he completed and successfully defended his Doctorate of Philosophy in Education and Organizational Leadership through Liberty University. He also holds a MA in Coaching & Athletic Administration from Concordia University Irvine and a BA in Communication Studies from Biola.

Teague is married to Biola Volleyball alumna and current assistant coach, Gracee Teague. They reside in Huntington Beach with their two children and their golden retriever, Koa.
