Elizabeth Pike became the seventh head coach in Shenandoah University history when she was hired in August 2007 and is now the winningest coach in program history.

In her tenure as the Hornets head coach, Pike has led her Hornets to 157 overall victories and has one league title, the 2011 USA South crown, to her credit. In 11 seasons of Old Dominion Athletics Conference play, SU has won 89 matches and has qualified for the ODAC Tournament in every season.

That 2011 squad won a program-record 15 games on its way to its first-ever tournament title and advanced into the NCAA Tournament where it met Rowan University in the opening round.

Academically, Pike's squad annually posts an average GPA above 3.0 with multiple women being recognized to the university's President's  (3.9 or above) and Dean's (3.5 and above) lists. In her career, she has had three women: Danielle Burris '17, Renee (Summerson) Rogers '09, and Alex Wessel '18 named Academic All-America. Burris was named twice, in 2015 and 2016, and was also selected as the ODAC Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's soccer.

Pike came to Shenandoah after spending eight years as the head girl's soccer coach at Lake Braddock High School in Burke, Virginia. The Bruins won four Patriot District titles, two Northern Region and three VHSL Group AAA state championships, including both 2006 and 2007, during her tenure as head coach.

The back-to-back state titles were the first for a Group AAA school in over 20 years.

Prior to her time at Lake Braddock, Pike served as an assistant women's soccer coach at both Lebanon Valley College and her alma mater, American University. A 1994 graduate of American, Pike was a four-year starter for Eagles and earned All-America honors in 1993.

Pike still holds all major scoring records at AU, including career points and goals as well as points in a game (nine versus Catholic on October 3, 1990). She also holds the top three single season scoring performances in school history.

In February 2011, Pike was inducted into the American University Athletics Hall of Fame.

Pike also assists the department as its transportation coordinator. In this role, she serves as the primary contact with bus companies and coordinates all ground transportation for the department's 22 intercollegiate athletics programs.
