Following a five-year playing career, Emilene Parham joined the Mountaineers' coaching staff in the spring of 2023, while completing her master's degree at App State.

She helped the Mountaineers to an undefeated spring season which included draws against Virginia Tech and South Carolina. 

Parham played one season in an App State uniform, appearing in 17 matches in the fall of 2022. Parham was a forward for the Mountaineers, playing a season-high 37 minutes against the College of Charleston (Sept. 11) and earning her lone start of the season against ETSU (Sept. 9).

The Haymarket, Va. native came to App State following a four-year career career at Bucknell, highlighted by a Patriot League title in 2021. Parham played 61 games for the Bison totaling two goals and two assists. She earned Patriot League Honor Roll recognition all four seasons.

Parham graduated from Battlefield High School, where she finished her career with 84 goals, second-most in program history, and 27 assists for a team that was ranked No. 1 in the nation by USA Today in 2017. As senior she was named 1st team All-Region, 1st Team All-Conference, 2nd Team All-State, and 2nd Team All-Met.
