"Eric is a proven developer of high level student athletes. His track record and reputation are unquestionable in regards to professionalism, ambition and leadership," said head coach Jonathan Garbar. "As our program enters the next phase of its competitive development, having someone on staff as experienced and qualified in the areas of recruitment, operations, player development and competitive excellence as Eric is truly a game changer. We are excited to integrate him into our program and look forward to the progressive impact he will inject."

Dobrzanski comes to FIU after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Lynn University, while having spent 10 seasons as the head women's soccer coach at Johnson & Wales University (Fla.) prior to his stint at Lynn.

Additionally, he was inducted into the JWU-North Miami Athletics Hall of Fame in April 2021.

Prior to JWU, Dobrzanski served as the associate head coach at Thomas University (Ga.) for three seasons, and in the summer of 2011, took over as the head coach of the Cayman Islands U-20 Women's National Team.
