Former Cougar Grace O’Brien joins the Kean University women’s soccer coaching staff for her fourth season. O’Brien earned a B.A. in Psychology from Kean in 2017.

Most recently, O’Brien coached Girls Soccer at Governor Livingston High School in Berkeley Heights for the last four seasons. She was on the staff that won a NJSIAA Group 2 Championship in 2018.

As a player, O’Brien was a four-year member of the Kean University women’s soccer team (2012-15). She finished with 11 points on four goals and three assists in 62 games played as the Cougars captured back-to-back ECAC Championships in 2012 and 2013.

O’Brien earned her Master’s in Social Work from the Nathan Weiss Graduate College at Kean in 2023. Grace currently works as a School Social Worker for the Summit Public Schools.
