Hannah Rispler enters her first year as a graduate assistant for WOU Athletics administration and student support. She will also be a volunteer assistant coach for the WOU women's soccer program.

Rispler comes right into athletic administration and coaching after being a first-team all-region and All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference defender in 2022 and 2023 - including being named the GNAC Defensive Player of the Year in 2022. She was also named All-GNAC Second Team in 2021.

Rispler accumulated nearly 6,000 minutes in her five-year career and was recognized as a natural leader both on and off the field, as coach Kacey Bingham named her the team captain three consecutive seasons. She started and played in 69 games - playing every minute of the 2023 season, totaling an impressive 1,710 minutes, and helping the Wolves back to the GNAC Championships for the first time since 2019. During her final season, she earned six points, four of which came from two goals (one of which was the game-winning goal against Central Washington).

Rispler earned recognition from her team by being named Team MVP in 2021 and 2022, as well as team defensive player of the year in 2021 and Co-DPOY in 2022 and 2023.

She was a four-time GNAC All-Academic Scholar as she finished with a 3.98 GPA majoring in secondary English language arts education and minoring in sports leadership. She was part of the leadership team for both SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).

Rispler is a native of Oregon, coming out of Gresham. She is a seven-time Oregon State Champion in soccer at the club level, as well as the Mt. Hood Conference girl's soccer Co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2018 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2019 as well as a four-time MHC First-Team All-League defender and midfielder. She finished as a two-time all-state selection for defense and a two-time team captain. Rispler also earned conference and state accolades in both basketball and track, being named team captain for two years.

"I am grateful to have this opportunity to transition into the coaching side of the sport," Rispler said. "Both WOU Athletics and the coaching staff have done a tremendous amount for me both as a player, and as a person. I can't wait to reciprocate their efforts and help grow this team under coach Bingham and Creighton."
