Ian Doherty was named the Millikin Women's Soccer Head Coach on June 1, 2018.

          Doherty joined the Millikin staff after serving as the head women’s soccer coach at Wesleyan College in Georgia. In 2017, Doherty lead Wesleyan to its first ever berth in the USA South Conference Tournament and the second best record in program history.

          During his career, Doherty has served as an assistant women’s coach at Wittenberg University and an assistant men’s coach at Otterbein University.  In 2016, Doherty helped guide Wittenberg to the NCAC Regular Season Championship and a berth in the NCAA Tournament. Doherty was involved in all aspects of the program at Wittenberg including leading the team’s recruiting efforts. Doherty served as the Director of Youth Development and Education for the Pride Soccer Club from 2010-2017.

          Doherty holds a USSF C License and an NSCAA Goalkeeping Diploma.

          As a player, Doherty was a four-year letter winner at Otterbein University. Doherty earned a Bachelor of Arts in History at Otterbein.  He received a Master of Science in Soccer Coaching at Ohio University in 2015.
