Ian McReynolds is in his eighth year as an assistant coach for Maryville University.

McReynolds was raised in Florissant, Mo., and is a graduate of McCluer North High School (2011) and Webster University (2015).  As a player, he grew up playing club soccer with Scott Gallagher, moving on to Avalon FC, and finally the Lou Fusz Soccer Club.   At McCluer North High School Ian played four years on the varsity team serving as captain his senior year and earning first-team all-conference, third-team all-metro, and second-team all-state honors.  His teams won two Conference Championships, also earning a Final Four appearance and a quarterfinal appearance for the North Stars in Missouri Class 3.

McReynolds went on to play three years at Greenville College (Greenville, Ill.) before transferring to Webster University for his senior year. At Webster, Ian earned two weekly awards while going undefeated in conference with zero goals against.  He has also played with various local amateur and semi-pro teams including the St. Louis Lions (PDL), St. Louis Shockwave (PASL), and F.C. Maritza (UPSL).

He has also served as a youth coach in the SLSG organization and will begin his eighth year as a part of the Women’s Soccer staff, focusing primarily on goalkeeper training and development.
