Jaclyn Wood enters her sixth year at WT after returning to Canyon in the summer of 2018. Wood, an Assistant Athletic Trainer, works with the baseball and women's soccer programs while assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Sports Medicine Department. In addition to her athletic training work at WT, Wood has covered a variety of outreach sports including high school football and club hockey.

Wood spent the last nine years at Lone Star Conference member Angelo State where she worked with softball, women’s soccer and volleyball during her time in San Angelo. While at Angelo State, Wood also taught in the Kinesiology department before transitioning to the athletics department full time.

An Amarillo native, Wood grew up going to WT sporting events as a kid, especially volleyball and basketball in "The Box." Wood earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training from West Texas A&M in 2007 and finished her Master’s Degree in Sports & Exercise Science in 2009. She is a proud dog mom and enjoys the mountains, Jeeping, and other outdoor adventures during her free time. 

Wood is certified through the Board of Certification and licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services. Wood is also certified in the M1 Grston Technique as well as Dry Needling 1. She is a member of both the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Texas State Athletic Trainers Association.
