Goalkeeper coach Jairo Villalobos joined the Sonoma State women's soccer coaching staff for the 2022 season after graduating from Sonoma State in 2021. Villalobos was a five year member of the SSU men's soccer program from 2017-21 as a local recruit from Santa Rosa. He would anchor the Seawolves second string keeper spot and his extensive experience as a player allowed him to start his coaching career in 2018.

Villalobos began individual goalkeeping lessons for youth and competitive soccer players here in Sonoma County and eventually worked that into a coaching position with Santa Rosa United, a competitive soccer club here in Sonoma County. There, Villalobos began working with players of all ages teaching them everything between the fundamentals of goalkeeping and high level tactics and skills for more elite players.

Head coach Emiria Salzmann brought over Villalobos upon graduation and conclusion of his men's soccer career to begin work with the women's soccer goalkeepers. Villalobos was also a distinguished student-athlete as he graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology and was also named to the CCAA All-Academic team. Villalobos continues his coaching career in the community and has interest in pursuing a career in law enforcement.
